The past century's move from a product based market to a brand based market has been tough on the letter C®, as it has on many other letters of the alphabet.
In spite of the fierce competition between C® and it's competitors, S® and K®, C® is committed to meeting our goal of becoming the top letter on the market by strategically synergyzing our marketing campaign.
Following is a summary of our C® for the New Millennia marketing strategy.
We are proud to unveil the letter C®'s redesigned motif. Note that the letter now contains a swoosh.
We feel that the addition of the familiar and popular swoosh to the letter C® will increase the popularity of the letter in the critical 12-24 year-old demographic group, further increasing overall C® brand recognition.
Fans of the Letter C®'s popular "C® Is For Cookie" theme song will be glad to hear that the new theme song will be only slightly altered for the New Millennia. The only change to the song is in the chorus, where the words were previously "C® is for cookie, that's good enough for me." This has been revised to "C® is for cookie, and 'cookie' starts with C®."
We feel that mentioning the letter C® twice as often in our theme song will further realize our goal of turning the letter C® into a household name.
While the letter C® has always advertised on Sesame Street, the educational children's television show, we're expanding our ad coverage significantly beyond a PBS audience. We'll be pursuing consumers who currently use fewer letters by purchasing prime time coverage during popular television events such as Nascar racing, WWF wrestling, and the Jerry Springer Show.
Household recognition of the letter C® is very important to our goals of C® brand awareness. Because of this, we've taken legal action against the companies representing the letters G® and O®, who've clearly imitated the letter C®'s look and feel.
We're thrilled to have you along on with us on the bleeding edge of the exciting alphabet letter market. For information about how you can purchase licenses to use the letter C® in your words, please contact our sales department.
Sincerely,
the Cookie Monster
